Allied Model Trains is an authorized dealer for Digitrax, Soundtraxx, TCS, AHD, Lok Sound, NCE and MRC DCC products. We are also a Digitrax and Soundtraxx Factory Trained Dealer.  We install decoders, sound decoders and function decoders in plastic and brass locomotives and passenger cars from N Scale to G Scale.  In addition, we stock and sell all of the above mentioned components including, decoders, sound decoders, speakers, enclosures, miniature plugs and dozens of lighting components.

Because each locomotive is unique, due to scale, size and the amount of functions, our installation charges are by time and material, please contact us for an estimate. We look forward helping you with your needs!

 

Painting & Detailing

Allied Model Trains offers a full range of custom model painting services for the model train enthusiast. We work in all scales to meet your needs. We also specialize in high-quality decal work, so we can make any road name or custom-design for your railroad.

When we receive your model, we test run it and fix any minor problems, at no additional charge. Heavier repair work will cost extra so we provide a price quote, via e-mail, before any work is commenced. We disassemble the model down to the nuts and bolts, then strip the paint off (as needed). All parts are cleaned of any oil, dirt and grease. Your locomotive will then be painted with an individual oven bake for each coat of paint to promote a durable, long-lasting quality finish.

After painting the model, it is reassembled and tested. Any bugs are worked out and it is decaled and finished to your specifications. We guarantee your models to run as well or better than when received by our company. Weathering is available, at an additional cost. The weathering is applied by airbrush and chalks.

We would be delighted to custom detail your locomotive for you. We do ask that you send any available photos of the locomotive you desire, to ensure your locomotive exceeds your wildest expectations. All books and photos will be returned to you.
